JWS MG Motor India has unveiled the upcoming M9 luxury electric MPV ahead of its official debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. The event will take place from 17th to 22nd January in New Delhi. The carmaker will also showcase the Cyberster sportscarwhich will be the first product to be sold via MG Select premium dealership outlets in India. The MG M9 launch will happen by March, 2025. With an estimated price point of Rs 65 lakh, this electric luxury MPV will lock horns against the new Kia Carnival that comes with a diesel engine only.
MG M9: Range, Battery
The new electric MPV from MG uses a 90kWh lithium ion battery pack that’s projected to deliver a range of 430km on a single charge (WLTP cycle). The e-motor delivers a claimed power of 245bhp and 350Nm of torque. The M9 measures 5,270mm in length, 2,000mm in width and 1,840mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,200mm. This makes it significantly bigger than the Kia Carnival that’s 5,155mm long, 1,995mm wide and 1,775mm tall.

MG M9: Features Explained
This premium electric MPV comes with a host of advanced features including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker JBL sound system, power adjustable front seats, multiple USB ports for all row seats, a 220V power outlet for the second row occupants, 64 colour ambient lighting, triple zone automatic climate control and electric sliding doors and tailgate.

For enhancing comfort quotient, the carmaker has equipped the M9 with the powered front and rear seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, rear entertainment screens, fold out ottoman seats, twin sunroofs, powered rear sliding doors, and Nappa leather seat upholstery. The rear seat passengers get gray-tined privacy glass.

On the safety front, the M9 offers a 360 panoramic camera, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring system, adaptive cruise control and more.
MG M9: Design Details
The M9 electric MPV has proper boxy stance with the signature front grille, LED headlamps with chrome surround and an upright nose with full-width LED light bar featuring turn indicators at each corner. It also gets faux air dam at the lower section of the rear bumper with sensors and license plate, vertically stacked taillamps connected via a LED light bar, and chrome surrounded rear bumper.
