Hyderabad: A bank employee in the city died by suicide on Thursday. Koti Satyalavanya, 32, working as an assistant manager at a public sector bank‘s Bachupally branch, died at her apartment allegedly due to work pressure.
According to police, on Thursday she went to the bank as usual. In the afternoon, she returned to her apartment at Harithavanam Colony of Bachupally, where she attempted suicide. Her family members saw her and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.
Her uncle, ARSV Prasad, told the police that on many occasions the deceased told him about the increased pressure at her workplace. On his complaint, a case has been registered, and an investigation is on, said a Bachupally police official.
