Regarding the CPL filter fitment. The filter works well, it’s just that one shouldn’t be mindlessly fitting it( like the way I did before ).

The principle of this filter is to nullify the light coming from a specific direction, which means it needs to be placed in the correct angle by which it can do that. Easiest way to identify this angle is to turn on your dashcam, ,view the video( either via app or the dashcam itself ), place the filter in front of the lens and slightly turn it clockwise or anti clock wise direction. You’ll observe that at a certain angle the dashboard reflection almost completely reduces. That’s the position in which the filter is to be placed.

This is before I kept the filter. Do note the Ganesha idol reflection on the dashboard

This one is after placing the filter in the correct angle.

I’ve also tried to take snaps from the same location as my original post. There’s a good difference.

1. Pic from indoor

2. Pic from outdoor

3. Pic from outdoor 2

Hope this helps someone.
