Sports Desk, New Delhi. Indian women’s cricket team’s star batsman Smriti Mandhana has registered her name in history. She has become the fastest Indian woman player to score 4000 runs in One Day International. Mandhana achieved this feat during the first ODI against Ireland on January 10. ββShe has now become the 15th woman in the world to cross the 4000-run mark in ODIs and only the second Indian to do so after Mithali Raj.

This ODI was Mandhana’s 95th match in this format, making her the fastest Indian woman to score 4000 runs and the third fastest overall. She also became the first Indian woman to achieve this feat in less than 100 innings. Mithali Raj remains India’s leading run-scorer in women’s ODIs with 7,805 runs, while Mandhana is now second in the list.
