Smriti Mandhana did a big feat in ODI cricket, became the biggest name in India after Mithali Raj

While chasing the target, Mandhana achieved this feat by taking a single off the ball of Arlene Kelly in the ninth over. Leading the Indian team in the absence of regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Mandhana played a quickfire inning of 41 runs off 29 balls. Mandhana made an important partnership of 70 runs with debutant Prateek Raval (89). Due to which India got a solid start while chasing the target of 239 runs.

She also became the first Indian woman to achieve this feat in less than 100 innings. Mithali Raj remains India’s leading run-scorer in women’s ODIs with 7,805 runs, while Mandhana is now second in the list.
