Hyderabad: Panic once again gripped Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University at Rajendranagar after a leopard was reportedly spotted on Sunday morning.
The local people who go for a walk in the morning spotted the leopard near the statue of Professor Jayashankar. According to reports, the leopard on noticing the movement of people sneaked into thick vegetation.
The locals informed about the sighting to university security who alerted the forest department. A team of forest officials will visit the campus and check for the pug marks before confirming the presence of leopard.
Leopard movement is regular in the campus and previously leopards were caught around the campus. The leopard stay at the reserve forest area in Shamshabad Gangan Pahad and move around villages in Himayatsagar, Shamshabad Rajendranagar and Moinabad.
