Sikhs of Hyderabad celebrated the 358th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th and last Sikh Guru and founder of the Khalsa Panth, with devotion and fervour.

The celebrations concluded on Sunday, with thousands of devotees gathering at the mass congregation held at Classic Gardens, Balamrai.

The congregation, which began at 11 a.m. and concluded at 3:30 p.m., featured soul-stirring recitations of holy hymns and discourses by renowned Sikh preachers from across the country.

Their renditions emphasised the Guru’s teachings on higher values, communal harmony and protection of the weak and oppressed. The speakers also shed light on the contributions of Guru Gobind Singh and other Sikh Gurus in fostering national integration, peace, and brotherhood.

The celebrations culminated with serving at the traditional langar (also known as free community kitchen). Devotees, seated in disciplined rows, shared meals, symbolising equality, togetherness, and compassion for fellow human beings.
