Fifteen riders from the Indian Navy embarked on a 13-day, 1,600 km motorcycle rally from Visakhapatnam to Ayodhya. The rally, named Dare Square, was flagged off at the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) here on Monday, January 13.
The rally will proceed towards INS Chilka in Odisha, one of India’s maritime defence fronts. This ride allows the Armed Forces to connect with local communities and motivate the youth to serve the nation by joining the Indian Navy.
The rally will culminate at the Dogra Regiment in Ayodhya on January 26, underscoring the Armed Force’s role in strengthening unity on the 76th Republic Day.
Vice-Admiral Sameer Saxena, Chief of Staff, ENC, said that the rally was a joint effort to ignite passion for the Armed Forces among young Indians and opined that the ride would showcase the daring spirit of the Armed Forces and Pulsar NS400Z, the motorcycle that the riders choose for the rally.
Sumeet Narang, president (marketing) of Bajaj Auto Ltd., said his firm was honoured to collaborate with the ENC on Dare Square. He expressed optimism that the collaboration would inspire the youth of India to choose the selfless path of serving the nation through the Armed Forces.
Earlier, a team of four experts from Bajaj Auto displayed their daredevilry by performing motorcycle stunts.
