Pushya Nakshatra represents growth, auspiciousness, wealth and spiritual growth.

Regarding Makar Sankranti, Patna Dairy Project and other branded companies have made preparations to provide milk and curd in sufficient quantity. According to traders, it is estimated that about 75 lakh liters of milk and 2 thousand tonnes of curd will be sold. Due to changing weather, the demand for curd and milk is expected to remain good. Patna Dairy Project along with Sudha Booth provided milk through tanker on 12th January. Milk will be made available through tanker on Monday also. Milk will also be available through tanker at Boring Road intersection, Rajvanshi Nagar near Hanuman Mandir, Jagdev Path, Peerbahor police station, Dinkar Golambar Nala Road, under Gaighat bridge.

This time, 35 lakh liters of milk will be supplied in Patna on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Similarly, 950 metric tons of curd will be supplied. Patna Dairy Project has prepared 18 metric tons of Tilkut this time. Khova Tilkut is available at the price of Rs 250 (500 grams) and Plain Tilkut at the price of Rs 150 (400 grams). Apart from this, milk and curd of other branded companies are available in the market. According to traders, it is estimated that about 75 lakh liters of milk and 2 thousand tonnes of curd will be sold.

Almond chikki, tilkut, laddu, gajak etc. are available in the market. But, the highest demand is for jaggery tilkut. People are also purchasing Khowa Tilkut this year. Khova Tilkut is being sold at the rate of Rs 400 to Rs 600 per kilogram. At the same time, almond chikki is being sold at Rs 200, jaggery tilkut at 350 to 400, sugar tilkut at 300 to 400, white sesame papdi and black sesame papdi at Rs 300-400 per kg.
