Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy hoped that Sankranti (Pongal) will bring new light into the lives of over one crore farmers, farm workers and the poor people in the State. In his message on the eve of Sankranti festival on Sunday (Jnauary 12, 2025), the Chief Minister recalled the government’s initiatives to alleviate the problems of different sections.
The festival was prelude to the government’s commitment to implement its flagship schemes — enhancement of Rythu Bharosa to ₹12,000provision of assistance to farm labourers through Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa, issuance of new ration cards under food security act and Indiramma Illu, weaker section housing programme.
The government was firm on ensuring that the fruits of welfare schemes reached the genuine beneficiaries. It was confident that Telangana would lead the country in all development indicators including agriculture, industry and employment generation in the coming days.
