On Monday, the CM held a meeting with IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu and senior officials of the industries department.
“The state govt has created an investor-friendly ecosystem to woo the investors in the country and abroad. Telangana has emerged as the best destination for global investments in the country, attracting big companies in the manufacturing and services sectors. The industrial policy being implemented by the state govt will attract large investments in the future. All the welfare schemes and development programmes launched by the government in the first year have helped strengthen the state’s economy,” the CM said.
The officials also apprised the CM about the plans to attend the conferences and meetings organised with the representatives of global industries and investors during the Singapore and Davos tour.
Revanth also enquired from the officials about the companies that had signed agreements with the state govt at last year’s WEF meeting and the status of investments and operations of the companies in the state.
The CM expressed satisfaction that the state has received huge investments in the first year. Telangana received investments worth 40,232 crore by signing MoUs with global companies at the WEF conference held in Davos last year. As many as 14 leading companies came forward to invest in the state and agreements were signed to set up 18 projects.
The officials informed the CM that about 17 of these projects have already started, 10 projects are at various stages with rapid progress and 7 more projects are at the initial stage.
