Group of saints going out for bath
Akharas have started processions for Amrit Snan before Mahakumbh 2025. Sadhus of 13 Akharas of Sanatan Dharma will take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam today. A group of saints have gone out for a bath. Mahamandaleshwar along with the saints of Panchayati Mahanirvani Akhara came out for bath.

Heavy police force deployed on the exit route of Akharas
On Tuesday, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti festival, the nectar bath of the Akharas will last for about nine and a half hours. It will take more than 12 hours to leave the camp and return. First of all the saints of Mahanirvani and Atal Akhara will take bath. The saints will reach the Sangam at 6:15 in the morning and will take bath in nectar for about 40 minutes. Heavy police force is deployed on both sides of the exit route from Akhara. The saints of Mahanirvani-Atal Akhara have gone out for the nectar bath.

Bathing of the Akharas will start from 6:15 am
On Tuesday, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti festival, the nectar bath of the Akharas will last for about nine and a half hours. It will take more than 12 hours to leave the camp and return. The time for bathing of saints and Nagas of Akharas has been fixed.
First of all the saints of Mahanirvani and Atal Akhara will take bath. The saints will reach the Sangam at 6:15 in the morning and will take bath in nectar for about 40 minutes. After this, the saints of Niranjani and Anand Akhara will take bath at 7:05 pm.
The saints of Juna, Avahan and PanchAgni Akhara will take bath at 8 am. The saints of Nirvani, Digambar and Nirmohi Akhara will take bath at 10:40, 11:20 and 12:20 respectively. The saints of Naya Panchayati Akhara will take bath at 1:15 pm and those of Bada Panchayati at 2:20 pm, the saints of Nirmal Panchayati Akhara will take bath from 3:40 to 4:20 pm.

Naga Sadhus do 21 adornments for taking nectar bath
Shankarpuri Maharaj of Mahanirvani Akhara told that in Hindu religion the married woman does 16 adornments, but Naga Sadhus do 21 adornments for taking nectar bath. This includes grooming of the body as well as the mind and speech. Along with this, there is also a wish for all the good.
This makeup does not mean showing off. Naga Sadhus also feel it deep inside. To please Mahadev, along with 21 adornments, Naga Sadhus will take a dip of nectar bath in Sangam. Naga Sadhu Khadeshwari Baba, seated in the fair, says that after becoming a Naga, sadhana and penance is very important. Naga Sadhus adorn themselves before bathing. In this, it is important to decorate the mind as well as the body.

Naga Sadhu will depart after adornment
After applying ashes on the body, sandalwood, silver bangles on the feet, Panchkesh i.e. matted hair will be wrapped around the head five times, Roli paste, ring, garland of flowers, tongs in the hands, damru, kamandal, tilak on the forehead, Surma in the eyes. After wearing a loincloth, bracelets on hands and feet and Rudraksh rosary around the neck, the Naga Sadhus will depart.
