Hyderabad: A manager working at a travel agency was injured when two unidentified persons shot at him at Afzalgunj on Thursday evening.
According to the police, the victim Jahangir, who works at Roshan Travels, was checking the baggage of a suspicious passenger when the man took out a weapon and fired two rounds upon him. Jahangir ran away for safety while the two suspects fled towards Nampally.
Soon after the incident, the police reached the spot and shifted the injured to hospital for treatment.
The Hyderabad police have sounded an alert and started vehicle checking, searches at lodges and hotels to apprehend the offenders.
Moazam, of Roshan Travels said that the two persons had come to the travels around 3 pm and booked tickets for Raipur. Around 6.30 pm, they turned up to board a mini bus to travel to Bowenpally from where luxury buses bound for Raipur start their journey.
There were also a couple of policemen of Karnataka police in the bus who were bound for Karnataka after completing some work in the city, sources said.
The police suspect that two suspects are the same persons who had shot dead two security guards after looting an ATM at Bidar.
