Hyderabad:On the second day of their visit to Australia, the Telangana delegation led by government sports adviser A.P. Jitender Reddy engaged in discussions with senior officials of the Queensland government in Australia to gain an understanding of the advanced sports culture and infrastructure.
The focus was on the development of a high-performance sports academy, a sports university, and modern sports infrastructure in Hyderabad.
The delegation visited the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC), an elite sports institute known for training world-class athletes and explored their high-performance training programmes.
The delegation also inspected Brisbane’s preparations as a likely host of the 2032 Olympics. They visited sports science centres to study how technology is being used to boost athlete performance, as well as Springfield City to study its innovative smart city development.
