University of Hyderabad’s School of Physics professor Surajit Dhara has been elected as a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc)-2025. He has made seminal contributions in emerging areas of liquid crystal science and technology, discovery of new physiochemical effects and physical properties in ferroelectric and ferromagnetic nematic liquid crystals. Besides extensive fundamental research, he has commercialised indigenously developed technologies for liquid crystal devices, said a press release on Wednesday.
