In a historic milestone, People Tech Enterprises, which is an automotive wing associated with “People” group, has signed an MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to establish India’s First Private Electric Vehicle Park – Orvakal Mobility Valley in Kurnool.
This mega EV vehicle park is the first of its kind establishment in India and it will be spread across a whopping 1200 acres in Kurnool. The principal investment itself is an impressive Rs 1800 crore with the total projected investment being Rs 13000 crore.
Considering the labour intensive nature of the stream of work, this project is reportedly projected to employ 25,000 people. It will boast of an exclusive R and D centers, test track for vehicles, and inclusive social infrastructure.
This ambitious project is a testament to the visionary leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh in transforming Andhra Pradesh into a hub for innovation and sustainability, the statement from the team read.
On the occasion, Lokesh said “This initiative reflects our commitment to making Andhra Pradesh the destination for new-age investments and green mobility. The Orvakal Mobility Valley is a game-changer, positioning Andhra Pradesh as the leader in India’s EV revolution and paving the way for sustainable industrial growth.”
Considering the kind of relationship that the TG family shares with Telugu Desam, and more importantly, the Kurnool region, their latest investment plan is a token of giving back to their home district.
