NEW DELHI: The Hyderabad Metro Rail successfully created a green corridor, enabling the rapid and seamless transportation of a donor heart across a distance of 13 kilometers in just 13 minutes, covering 13 stations.
This crucial operation took place on January 17 at 9.30pm, facilitating the swift transfer of the donor heart from LB Nagar’s Kamineni Hospitals to Gleneagles Global Hospital, Lakdi-ka-pul, saving critical time in this life-saving mission, according to a release from Hyderabad Metro Rail.

The transportation was carried out with meticulous planning and close collaboration between Hyderabad Metro Rail, medical professionals, and hospital authorities, all supervised by attending doctors, the release stated.
L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) remains dedicated to supporting emergency services and contributing to the welfare of society by utilizing its world-class infrastructure, the release added.
