Hyderabad: Charging BRS with resorting to mudslinging against the Congress govt, deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the pink party could not digest the good work being done by the Revanth Reddy govt and its sincerity in fulfilling the electoral promises one by one.
The minister handed over appointment letters to 92 junior assistants and computer operators in Telangana Northern Discom (TGNPDCL) and appointment letters to another 20 candidates in Transco along with agriculture minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao at Rajiv Gandhi statue near the secretariat on Saturday.
Speaking at the meeting, Bhatti Vikramarka said BRS, which ruled the state for 10 years, whiled away its time by hoodwinking people with tall promises and never delivering them. “BRS promised three acres of land to poor Dalits, a job to every household, and an irrigation facility to a minimum of a lakh acres in every constituency, but simply forgot about their promises after coming to power,” the deputy CM said.
He said the BRS govt borrowed lakhs of crores and pushed the state into a financial mess and could never release salaries to employees till the 15th of every month. The Congress govt, with its responsible and careful planning, improved the situation to give salaries to employees by the 1st of every month, Bhatti Vikramarka said.
While the BRS govt dashed the hopes of unemployed youth without filling vacancies, the Congress govt issued appointment letters to 56,000 people within a year, he said. He said the present govt curtailed wasteful expenditure of public money and has been focusing on creating wealth for people. Keeping in view new developments in Hyderabad, Future City construction, new industries, and demand in power consumption, an exercise was already launched to supply 22,448 MW by 2029-30 and 31,809 MW by 2034-35, the energy minister said.
