Vijayawada: A team led by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is leaving for Davos on Sunday to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit. The state govt aims to secure significant investments by promoting ‘Brand AP’. Naidu will participate in various meetings to promote the govt’s recently announced policies designed to meet the target of creating two million jobs in the next five years.
Naidu’s team will depart for the Davos tour from Amaravati on Sunday evening. They will meet the Indian ambassador in Zurich and 10 industrialists. Later, they will participate in a meet and greet programme with the Telugu diaspora, which includes industrialists, to discuss investment opportunities in AP.
From Zurich, they will travel by road to reach Davos. The CM will participate in a dinner meeting with several industrialists on the first day in Davos. Later, they will have a special meeting with ArcelorMittal executive chairman Lakshmi Mittal.
On the second day, they will participate in a discussion on green hydrogen at the CII session. Later, Naidu will meet CEOs and chairmen of companies like Solar Impulse, Coca Cola, Welspun, LG, Carlsberg, Cisco, Walmart International, and Cognizant Technologies. He will meet UAE economy minister Abdullah Bin before participating in a discussion on energy transition, organised by the World Economic Forum.
Naidu is expected to participate in at least 10 meetings daily. On the fourth day, they will reach Zurich from Davos in the morning and return to the homeland from there. Along with scheduled meetings, Team AP will participate in special meetings with several industrial giants during the four-day stay in Davos. Naidu’s team includes industries minister TG Bharat, IT and HRD minister Nara Lokesh, and senior officials.
