TGSPDCL invites firms for installation of underground cables in Greater Hyderabad


HYDERABAD: The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGSPDCL) is inviting firms for replacing the existing overhead lines with underground cables in the entire GHMC area and adjoining municipal corporations, municipalities and panchayats within Outer Ring Road (ORR).

There are 498 substations of 33/11 KV, 1,280 kms of 33 KV underground cables, 3,725 kms of 33 KV Overhead (OH) lines, 1022 Power Transformers (PTRs) provided in substations, 957 kms of 11 KV UG cables, 21,463 kms of 11 KV OH lines, 1,50,992 distribution transformers and 58,271 intermediate poles in the region.


TGSPDCL intends to implement the underground power cabling project under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) or any other feasible funding model. As part of the project work, a detailed survey and feasibility study would have to be conducted, besides design and engineering, procurement and installation, integration with existing infrastructure, testing and commissioning and Operation & Maintenance (O&M). All the interested parties would be called for making a presentation on February 7.
