While Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the e-Vitarabased on the eVX Concept, Toyota displayed its version of the car.
The Urban BEV Concept previews the upcoming electric vehicle. While Toyota has not confirmed the India launch timelines, we can expect the car to go on sale in the later part of 2025. It is excepted to the manufactured at Maruti’s Gujarat facility:
Compared to the e-Vitara, the Toyota version comes with lesser black body cladding bits, especially at the font:
The wheels are positioned on the ends of the car to maximise the available cabin space as well as to accommodate the floor-mounted battery pack:
The rear 3/4th view reveals large flared wheel arches that extend quite a bit into the C-pillar area. Also note the C-pillar mounted door handles on the rear doors:
The rear gets a Toyota logo and no other badging. This concept gets clear-lens tail lamps, which might not make its way into the production-spec variant:
