During the last five years, the YSRCP government had opposed the privatisation of the steel plant and it was acknowledged by the Centre, says Botcha Satyanarayana

YSR Congress Party MLC Botcha Satyanarayana has demanded that the coalition government categorically state that it is against the privatisation of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).

Addressing the media at his camp office on Sunday, he said that the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister were in the State, but there was no assurance from them or the Chief Minister that the VSP will not be privatised. This shows that there is something wrong with the views of the coalition parties, he said.

The YSRCP MLC said that during the last five years, the YSRCP government had opposed the privatisation of VSP and it was acknowledged by the Centre.

“If the coalition leaders are sincere in opposing the privatisation of the steel plant, why they have not made it clear while sharing the platform with Prime Minister or the Home Minister?” he questioned.

Tirupati stampede

The Tirupati stampede has brought the inefficiency of the State government to the fore as the Kumbh Mela, with crores of devotees participating is being held smoothly, he stated.
