Kia Syros, the all-new sub-4 metre SUV from the South Korean automaker, has made its first public appearance at the ongoing 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. Bookings for the vehicle are already underway nationwide at a token sum of Rs 25,000. Its prices will be announced on 1st February, and deliveries will start by mid February. In the subcompact SUV segment, the Syros goes up against all the turbo-petrol models, including the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Skoda Kylaq.

The Syros model lineup comes in six trim levels – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+ (O) – and two engine options – 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel. Buyers will get eight exterior colour options – Glacier White Pearl, Pewter Olive, Sparkling Silver, Imperial Blue, Frost Blue, Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl and Gravity Gray. The Syros is the most spacious vehicle in its segment, sitting on a 2,550mm long wheelbase. Its overall length, width and height stand at 3,995mm, 1,800mm and 1,665mm, respectively. This subcompact SUV promises a boot space of 465-litres, which is more than the Sonet.

Kia Syros: Engine-Gearbox Options

The 1.0L turbo petrol engine delivers a claimed power of 120bhp and 172Nm of torque. This motor comes with the 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox options. The diesel engine pushes out a maximum power of 116bhp and 250Nm of torque. The oil burner is available with two transmission options – 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

The Syros is undoubtedly the most feature-packed vehicle in its category. It has dual 12.3-inch display setup – for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. It’s combined with a 5-inch climate control screen. Its new two-spoke steering wheel looks similar to the EV3.

The new Kia compact SUV has also been packed with features such as a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, powered driver’s seat, all four ventilated seats, OTA updates for the infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in-car connectivity, a 60:40 split-folding function, six airbags, electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors, Level 2 ADAS suite and a 360 degree camera.

Kia Syros: Price Expectations

While its prices will be officially revealed in coming weeks, the new Kia compact SUV is estimated to be priced from Rs 9 lakh for the base variant. Its feature-loaded top trim is likely to cost around Rs 16.50 lakh.
