Hyderabad: All super-specialty private hospitals in Hyderabad that provide healthcare facilities to police department have decided to suspend their services under State-run Aarogya Bhadratha scheme from Monday onwards due to pending medical bills.
The network of super-specialty hospitals under the umbrella of Telangana Specialty Hospitals Association (TSHA) had earlier approached the State government for a clear stand on clearance of pending medical bills.
On January 9, in a letter, the TSHA urged the government to clear pending medical bills, which have been pending for the past one year.
Failure in clearing medical bills will force them to suspend the services under Aarogya Bhadratha scheme from January 20, 2025, they said. According to reports, pending medical bills ranging up to Rs 1000 core are yet to be reimbursed to the superspecialty hospitals.
Already, Aarogyasri Health Insurance scheme is under crisis with smaller and mid-sized hospitals in Telangana State suspending all medical services to beneficiaries since January 10.
