Andhra Pradesh govt resumes resurvey of agriculture lands across the state | Vijayawada News

Vijayawada: After putting the survey process on hold for about six months, the govt has resumed resurvey of agriculture lands across the state from Monday. Taking previous experiences and complaints from landowners into consideration, the govt has readied a comprehensive action plan to complete the survey with a scientific approach. Landowners have been allowed to attend the survey through video call if unable to attend physically.
“We have taken adequate safety measures to avoid the complications arisen during the resurvey conducted by the previous regime. We have asked the joint collectors to personally monitor the entire process to avoid any inconvenience to farmers,” said special chief secretary (revenue), RP Sisodia.
He said they have directed all teams on the field to take up survey of 200-250 acres per day to avoid a hurried process. “The mandal surveyor has been asked to divide the village into blocks of 200 to 250 acres and allot blocks to the resurvey teams. Each village will be allotted 3 to 4 teams as per requirement. Each team shall constitute of two village secretaries, one VRO, and one VRA, preferably deputed from within the mandal/division,” added Sisodia.
Along with the above teams, a dedicated team exclusively for the purpose of communication shall be deployed per village. The team shall comprise of a village secretary and a VRO, who have to attend wherever any issue arises. The teams should prepare and serve/communicate notice of day-wise resurvey schedule with survey numbers to all interested parties through publishing in the village secretariats, tom-tom, in person, or any alternative mode of service such as registered post, pasting notice on the door of the house, mail, social media, etc.
The local tahsildar and mandal surveyor have been directed to prepare the schedule in order of village boundary, block boundary, govt lands, institution lands, and private lands. Officials have already conducted grama sabhas in the villages scheduled for the resurvey.
