The drone that allegedly flew over the Jana Sena Party (JSP) and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) offices in Amaravati belonged to the A.P. Fibernet Corporation, said the Guntur police on Monday (January 20). Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar told The Hindu that the drone was being operated as part of a pilot project to test their effectiveness in monitoring garbage dumping and traffic. The police had taken up an investigation based on a complaint from some JSP leaders. The police have apprised the leaders of their finding.
