Vijayawada: Govt appointed K Kannababu as the new CRDA commissioner on Monday. Incumbent commissioner Katamaneni Bhaskar has been shifted as IT and electronics secretary. Kannababu has been relieved from all posts including as secretary of municipal administration, social welfare, and tribal welfare depts keeping in view the workload to be handled in the capital city as CRDA commissioner.
Special chief secretary G Sai Prasad, who missed the opportunity to become chief secretary, has been brought into the CMO as ex-officio member. He will be special CS of irrigation department. Peeyush Kumar has been confined as principal finance secretary and shifted out of the CMO.
MK Meena and Pravin Kumar, who were handling the mines and geology dept since the NDA govt came to power, have been moved out. While Meena is now the principal secretary (GAD political) with additional charge of GAD services, director of mines and geology Pravin Kumar has been posted as director of industries. Meena, however, continues to retain the post of principal secretary (excise). Among other officers are Visakhapatnam municipal commissioner G Sampath Kumar, Senior IAS Saurabh Gaur , MV Seshagiri Babu, Suresh Kumar , Ajay Jain, Vakati Karuna, S Satyanarayana, Veerapandian and M Girisha.
