Badminton players Saina Nehwal and P Kashyap inaugurating Hyderabad Police Sports meet at Goshamahal police stadium, Hyderabad, on Monday.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police Commissionerate Sports and Games Meet – 2025 was inaugurated at the police stadium in Goshamahal on Monday. Indian badminton players Saina Nehwal and P Kashyap, were the chief guests for the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said the sports and games meet was being organised in 14 contingents with 24 different sports and games.
“Winning and losing in games is not important, but how much talent you have shown in sports is important. Through these games, your physical strength will increase, and you will be healthy to overcome the pressures of work,” the commissioner reiterated.
Meanwhile, the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate also organised its annual sports meet on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Rachakonda Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu said that sports contribute to the mental and physical development of individuals.
The Commissioner said sports were an important part of our lives and that sports are helpful in overcoming various types of mental and physical stress.
