Hyderabad: Surendra Mohan was on Monday given full charge as transport commissioner at the Road Transport Authority. He was earlier holding the post with additional charge. He later held a meeting with C. Ramesh, joint transport commissioner. The RTA has 33 district offices. The major challenges are road safety, with 60 lakh vehicles, including 20 lakh commercial vehicles, plying on the state’s roads, as well as revenue generation.
