The ‘TelanganaRising’ delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy landed in Zurich, Switzerland on Monday (January 20, 2025) morning after their successful visit to Singapore.
The Telangana diaspora accorded a warm welcome to the delegation at the Zurich airport. The delegation will participate in the World Economy Forum (WEF) annual conference at Davos starting from January 20.
The Chief Minister is accompanied by the State IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials of the Industries Department. The Andhra Pradesh delegation led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also reached the airport at the same time when Mr. Reddy’s team landed. The two Chief Ministers and Ministers had a brief interaction.
Mr. Reddy and the delegation is scheduled to meet several industrialists on the first day of the Davos Conference. They were focussed on generating huge investments in Telangana from industry leaders worldwide and projecting Telangana State to the world as an international investment destination. As part of that, the Chief Minister’s team will hold discussions with representatives of several global giant companies.
Last year, Telangana attracted ₹40,000 crores in investments and most of those investments are now grounded. According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the target this year is ₹1 lakh crore and the officials have lined meetings in accordance with the plan. They are confident of touching the target and emerge as the biggest beneficiary among the six Indian states that have sent delegations to the Davos meeting.
