Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl died allegedly by suicide early on Tuesday morning. Her body was found at the Kacheguda railway station, said Government Railway Police (GRP) Inspector Yellappa.
The minor girl was hailing from Siddipet and was residing in the Andhra Mahila Sabha hostel, located in the Osmania University campus. The incident occurred between 7.30am – 7.45am. The incident came to light after a passenger spotted a body on the railway tracks and alerted the GRP.
The reason behind her taking an extreme step is yet to be known. Meanwhile, her body was shifted to the Osmania mortuary for postmortem examination.
For now, a case has been registered under Section 194 of the BNS. Sections would be altered based on further investigation, the Inspector said.
