Former Minister and Malakjgiri BJP MP Eatala Rajender sought to justify his assault of a real estate agent in Pocharam municipality in Medchal-Malakjgiri district stating that he was provoked into the act because Telangana government machinery including the Revenue and Police had failed to protect the poor people from the land grabbers.

Cases should be filed against fake registrations
“If someone like me was forced to raise a hand, it is simply because of lack of proper response from the Revenue and Police authorities concerned. I already have 150 cases against me, one more case does not make any difference. Cases should be filed against those who did fake registrations,” he said.
“Circumstances made me to react as an MP because a hapless woman’s land was forcibly occupied by goondas and she sought my help when the police remained a silent spectator,” Mr. Rajender told a press conference at the BJP State office in Hyderabad on Wednesday (January 22, 2025).
Police commissioner is not acting, collector is not effective: Eatala
The MP asserted that he had total confidence in the Courts, law and justice but accused the government machinery of openly conniving with land grabbers. “The police commissioner is not acting and collector concerned is not effective. We will definitely stand by the poor people and will complain to the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of High Court, Lok Ayukta and Human Rights Commission,” he said.
A gang harassing plot owners
Mr. Rajender charged that a gang of more than a dozen persons have been harassing the plot owners in an attempt to usurp them cheaply and they even had the temerity to confront him. “The Government should immediately check and de-notify agriculture land for layouts in villages around Hyderabad and clear the pending applications under the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS). Some vested interests are behind non-implementation of LRS,” he claimed.

The scale of land grabbing by real estate mafia in areas of Gandipet, Vattinagulapalli, Shadnagar, Edulapalli, Irlapalli, Nadargul, Balanagar, Gaganpahad have become rampant with the prices that could easily rival the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP).
“If the revenue and police act on time and in a coordinated manner, this situation will not arise. It is bringing a bad name to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He is aware of the real estate scenario and hence, he should disclose those behind the land grabbing and who should be protecting the poor” said Mr. Rajender and added that there are allegations of the Chief Minister’s own relatives being involved..
