Hyderabad police tracks robbers’ movements across multiple states-Telangana Today


Investigations, along with scientific analysis and a review of surveillance footage from multiple locations, revealed that the assailants traveled from Trimulgherry to Shamirpet in a passenger auto-rickshaw. From Shamirpet, they then fled to Gajwel in a shared auto-rickshaw.

Hyderabad: After about a week, the city police have made some progress in the Afzalgunj firing case.

Investigations and scientific analysis including examination of the surveillance cameras at various spots have indicated that the assailants had gone to Shamirpet from Trimulgherry in a passenger auto-rickshaw. From there, they had escaped to Gajwel in a sharing auto-rickshaw.


The police have also found out that the assailants traveled in a lorry from Gajwel to Adilabad, from where they escaped to Bihar via Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the robbers involved in the shooting incident who were identified as Amit and Manish are believed to have been involved in other offences across the country.

The case is being jointly investigated by the Hyderabad and Bidar police.

Special teams have already reached Bihar as well as Jharkhand searching for the suspects.

The two persons who are suspected to have committed heist in Bidar in neighboring Karnataka on Thursday morning had shot dead two persons including a security guard and looted Rs. 93 lakh.

The duo escaped after committing the heist in Bidar on a bike. They moved out of the district and abandoned the bike somewhere and took a bus to reach MGBS Hyderabad.

The police during investigation found the suspects after reaching the city got down from the bus at MGBS and booked tickets at Roshan Travels at Afzalgunj for Raipur. One of them brought luggage bags and they stashed the cash in the bags.

When both the suspects got into the bus, the manager Jahangir, found cash in the bag and inquired with the suspects about it when one of the suspects pulled out a pistol and shot at him.
