The all-new upcoming sub-4 metre SUV from Kia, the Syros, will go on sale in India on 1st February, 2025. Deliveries are slated to begin from mid-February. Ahead to its price announcement, the carmaker has started dispatching the vehicle at its showrooms. The Kia Syros model lineup is spread across six trims – HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+ (O). Here, we got look at the 2nd base variant – HTK (O), which was spotted at a Kia dealership in Karnataka.
Syros HTK (O) Design Explained
Starting with the looks, the Kia Syros HTK (O) variant features halogen headlamps, Kia’s signature Tiger nose grille, a sporty bumper and a skid plate with silver finish at the front end. Moving to its side profile, the compact SUV has side door garnish with silver metallic accents and flush door handles. While the HTK (O) petrol variant comes with the standard R15 steel wheels with full cover, its diesel version can be had with the R16 crystal cut alloy wheels.
The second base variant of the Syros also comes with a shark fin antenna, roof rails, turn indicators on ORVMs, vertically stacked taillamps, high mounted stop lamp and rear skid plate with silver finish. This variant offers an electric sunroof over the entry-level HTK variant.

Syros HTK (O) Interior Explained
The Kia Syros offers several premium features right from the base variant including the dual-tone Grey and Black semi-leatherette upholstery, a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines, a 12.30-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power mirrors and windows, rear AC vents, four USB-C charging ports, an analogue instrument console with a 4.2-inch MID, 4-speakers, 6 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, brake assist, electronic stability control, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, Isofix child seat anchorages and more.
The HTK (O), the second base variant, offers a few additional features over the base variant including the height adjustable driver’s seat, auto folding ORVMs, 2 tweeters, passenger side seat back pocket and vanity mirror on the passenger side sunshade.
Syros HTK (O) Engine-Gearbox Options
The Kia Syros HTK (O) variant will be available with the petrol manual, petrol DCT and diesel manual engine-gearbox combinations. The diesel automatic is exclusively to the HTX+ (O) and HTX+ trims. The compact SUV’s petrol and diesel versions use a 120PS, 1.0L turbo petrol and 115PS diesel engines. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed DCT.
