Visakha Steel Plant – Joint Action Committee (VSP-JAC) has demanded that the Central government allocate captive mines to the RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. If they are granted, it will be a good sign that the privatisation of the plant will be stopped, the committee leaders said at a meeting held at Visakhapatnam Public Library here on Wednesday. The JAC considered the ₹11,440 crore revival package from the Centre as a victory of the people of Andhra Pradesh, said JAC convener and former MLA Lake Raja Rao. Bahujan Samaj Party Visakhapatnam district president P. Sivaprasad was present.
