The 2025 Kia Carens facelift has been on test for a while now. Its official launch date is yet to be announced, though the updated version is likely to hit roads later this year. The compact MPV is expected to receive subtle design changes, while its interior will undergo a major overhaul. No changes are expected under the hood.

Interior of the new Kia Carens is likely to come with a new steering wheel, new trims and seat upholstery. One of the major upgrades might come in the form of the 30-inch Trinity panoramic display as we have seen in the Kia Syros. The setup includes a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-inch instrument cluster and a 5-inch fully automatic AC control display.
Aiming to enhance its safety levels, Kia might equip the new Carens with the Level 1 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The suite might offer features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring system, emergency braking, etc. The MPV might also get a 360 degree camera. The rest of features will be carried forward from the pre-facelift Carens.

Improved Styling
The new 2025 Kia Carens facelift could receive a newly-designed front grille, revised headlamps, tweaked front and rear bumpers and new 5-spoke alloy wheels. The carmaker might offer some new colour schemes with this upcoming update. Dimensionally, the compact MPV will remain unchanged, measuring 4,540mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,700mm – 1,708mm in height.
Same Engine-Gearbox Combos
The new Carens will continue to use the existing 115PS, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 160PS, 1.5L turbo petrol and 116PS, 1.5L diesel engines. Transmissions will also be carried forward from the current model including a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT.
New Kia Carens EV
The South Korean automaker is also working on the Carens EV, which is expected to arrive towards the end of this year. Official details are still under the wraps. Though, the compact MPV might source the 51.4kWh battery pack from the new Hyundai Creta Electric.
