Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday vowed that he would not engage in criticisms of his political rivals and instead work collaboratively with leaders of all parties for the greater cause of development.
The minister said this while inaugurating a slew of developmental projects along with BRS MLA Gangula Kamalakar and city mayor Y. Sunil Rao in Karimnagar.
Later, speaking to media persons, the Union minister said the Smart City Funds would be fully utilised for the development of Karimnagar city as it has been in Warangal and reaffirmed his commitment to bringing in funds from the Centre, while fighting for the state government’s share of funding.
“Positions in politics come and go, but progress remains forever,” he said, reiterating that he would work tirelessly to bring about development in Karimnagar. He made it clear that his focus henceforward would be on constructive initiatives, setting aside political differences.
Bandi Sanjay expressed satisfaction over inauguration of an integrated market built at a cost of Rs 14 crore, calling it one of the best government-funded markets in the state.
Seeking the state government’s cooperation in such efforts, the BJP leader said timely approval of funds is crucial for ensuring continued progress in the region.
Bandi Sanjay said Union Minister of State for Urban Development Manohar Lal Khattar would visit Karimnagar on January 24 to launch a 24-hour portable water supply project. State ministers including Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar are expected to attend the event, he added.
