India has become a major player in the US tourism market and it is expected to only grow stronger in the future.
In 2024, over 2.2 million Indians visited America. Amongst this almost 1 million traveled with non-immigrant or visitor visas, a massive 24% growth from last year.

While there are some doubts over Indian work visas under Trump, visitor visas will continue this upward trend in 2025, according to media reports. The appetite for travel is rapidly growing among Indians and affordable flights have just made it more easier.
This boom has pushed India above Germany and is now second only to the UK in terms of overseas tourist arrivals in the US. The official data revealed that a record number of visitor visas were issued last year, with 5 million Indians currently holding valid US visas.

This travel boom is not only great for the relations between the countries but it has also given a boost to the local economy. In 2023, Indian tourists contributed a staggering $20 billion to the US.
While immigrant workers might live in doubt, the travelers continue to pour in record-breaking numbers. And India will keep dominating this front as well.
