VIJAYAWADA: Secretary of the School Games Federation of India, Andhra Pradesh Bhanumurthy Raju said here on Thursday that the 68th National School Games Sepak Takraw U-14 Boys and Girls Tournament 2024-2025 will be held from January 24 to 27 at KBC district council boys high school in Patamata.
Speaking to the media, he mentioned that the tournament is organised under floodlights and that a total of four courts have been prepared, including two floodlight courts, to facilitate the matches. Vijayawada city has shown its readiness to host the event.
Raju stated that the tournament is being jointly organised by the School Games Federation of India and the United Krishna district branch. He confirmed that arrangements for the tournament, which will see participation from 12 states, have been made with four courts ready, where matches will be held in a league knockout format. He said that the teams have commenced their practice sessions on the field. He further said that all necessary preparations for the smooth conduct of the tournament have been completed under the direction of V. Vijayarama Raju, director of the school education department, and B. Srinivasa Rao, project director of Samagra Shiksha.
