Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the result of 70th Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination (BPSC 70th Prelims Result). In this, 21 thousand 581 candidates have been declared successful. The main examination is likely to be conducted in April. The examination was canceled due to disorderly situation during the examination at Bapu Examination Complex on 13 December.

Jagran correspondent, Patna. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the result of Integrated 70th Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination (BPSC 70th Prelims Result OUT) on Thursday. In this, 21 thousand 581 candidates have been declared successful.

In this, 9017 candidates in General, 3295 in Scheduled Caste, 211 in Scheduled Tribe, 2793 in Backward Class, 3515 in Extremely Backward Class, 601 in Backward Class Women, 561 in Disabled, 2149 in Economically Weaker Section have been successful. The Commission said that 3 lakh 28 thousand 990 candidates have appeared in the examination conducted at 911 centers on 13 December and 22 centers on 4 January. More than four lakh 80 thousand candidates had applied for 2035 posts in various departments of the state government.

Main exam may be held in April

Candidates declared to have passed the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear in the main examination. The main examination is likely to be conducted in April. The examination was canceled due to disorderly situation during the examination at Bapu Examination Complex on 13 December. Centers were made there for more than 12 thousand candidates.

Demand to cancel the exam

Due to various reasons, many candidates and teachers have been sitting on strike in Gardnibagh since 18th December, demanding cancellation of the examination of 13th December and conduct of preliminary examination afresh. To extend his support to the candidates, Leader of Opposition in Gardnibagh Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Assembly Major opposition leaders including leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav, Jansuraj architect Prashant Kishore have arrived. Many candidates have also appealed to the High Court for re-examination. Hearing on this is to be held on January 30.
