Fire at automobile showroom in Kothaguda brings traffic to a halt

A massive fire at the Mahindra & Mahindra showroom in Kothaguda junction late on Thursday (January 23, 2025) brought traffic to a halt at one of the most congested stretches in Hyderabad. There were no casualties, as per initial information.

Over an hour after the incident was reported, at 11.07 p.m., firefighting operations were underway and no casualties or injuries were reported from the incident.

According to a fire control official, a distress call was received at 10.04 p.m. after which seven vehicles including six fire tenders and a hydraulic ladder mounted tender, were pressed into service. The officials are yet to determine the cause of fire. Investigation is underway.
