Hyderabad: Hyderabad defeated Tamil Nadu by 35 runs in the final of the 47th All India Rajiv Gandhi Under-19 Twenty-20 League Cricket Championship, in Hyderabad on Friday.
Batting first, Hyderabad set an imposing total of 192 runs in 20 overs, powered by Karan Yadav’s top score of 54 and Aaron George’s crucial 44. Hunny Saini stood out with a brilliant three-wicket haul, while Sidharth and Harshan Pranav chipped in with two wickets each.
In reply, Tamil Nadu struggled to keep up with the required run rate and managed 157/9 in 20 overs despite valiant efforts from Hunny Saini (43) and G Sidharth (42). Hyderabad’s bowling attack, led by Tashveer with three wickets and Chintala Nishant with two, ensured their team secured the title.
