Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) organised a ‘Thali Bajao’ protest in Vijayawada on Saturday, demanding the immediate implementation of “Super Six” election promises by the ruling NDA govt in the state. APCC chief YS Sharmila Reddy criticised the govt for its failure to deliver on the assurances even after seven months in power.
She also launched a scathing attack on YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Referring to the resignation of Jagan’s close confidant, V Vijayasai Reddy, she accused Jagan of betraying his loyalists and failing to protect those who stood by him. “Why are those who were once his pillars of strength now leaving him? This is a clear indication of Jagan’s diminishing credibility,” she said.
Criticising her brother for aligning with BJP to safeguard his own interests, she said Vijayasai was Jagan’s right-hand man for years. “He acted on his orders and worked in favour of BJP’s agenda. Now that Vijayasai has distanced himself, he must reveal the truth about Jagan’s actions,” Sharmila demanded.
On the murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy, she claimed that the truth is slowly emerging. “If Vijayasai Reddy can admit the truth in Viveka murder case, he should come forward and reveal more facts,” she added.
