Kurnool: One student died, and two others were injured in a collision between two autos in the Mantralayam area. The accident occurred when an auto carrying students from Sunkeswari village to school was hit from behind by another auto. Among the injured, a Class 10 student, Anusha, 15, was rushed to the Yemmiganur Government Hospital with severe injuries but succumbed to them during treatment. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Kurnool: A car hit a woman devotee from Chennai named Pujari Ambika, who was on a padayatra from Karnataka to Mantralayam on Saturday. The incident left her with severe head injuries, and she was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The Mantralayam police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Kurnool: As part of National Road Safety Month, Srisailam One-Town circle inspector G. Prasad Rao and his team conducted an awareness programme in the temple town on Saturday. The event highlighted the importance of helmet usage to prevent road accidents. Police officers and staff, donning helmets, organised a bike rally to promote safety. CI Prasad Rao, along with Srisailam Devasthanam executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao, educated the public on road safety rules and the dangers of cell phone driving, drunken driving, and overspeeding.
