Hyderabad: Coinciding with Republic Day celebrations, chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday launched four welfare schemes promised as part of Congress guarantees during the 2023 assembly elections from Chandravancha village of Kosgi mandal in Kodangal assembly constituency.
Ahead of the much-anticipated elections to gram panchayats and urban local bodies, Revanth sought the blessings of the people to continue implementing more welfare schemes and appealed to them not to fall prey to opposition’s conspiracies.
Beneficiaries of Rythu Bharosa (Rs 12,000 per annum) and Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa (Rs 12,000 per annum) will start getting the amount into their bank accounts from midnight as Sunday was a holiday. Indiramma Illu (Rs 5 lakh financial assistance) beneficiaries will also get the money in their accounts depending upon the stage of construction of the housing unit.
“All the eligible beneficiaries, about 70 lakh farmers, will get Rs 6,000 each under Rythu Bharosa, Rs 12,000 for each of the 10 lakh landless agricultural labourers, Rs 5 lakh each for 4.50 lakh families under Indiramma housing, and 40 lakh new ration cards, and thereafter fine variety rice will be given. All these beneficiaries will be covered by March 31,” the CM said, addressing a public meeting at the launch of the four schemes.
Revanth trained his guns at BRS and said that ration cards were not issued in the past 10 years and the 2-BHK housing scheme was also not implemented. The govt and state administration cannot be run from farmhouses, he said.
“The people are the real rulers and we are here to serve you. The Congress govt and I, as the CM, completed 13 months in office and will continue with more welfare and development for the next 10 years, with your blessings and support,” he said.
The chief minister said that the opposition was inciting the people against the Congress govt because it is unable to digest the welfare schemes being implemented by the govt.
“Do not fall prey to their tactics but submit all your details to officials and avail welfare schemes,” Revanth said.
My brother working for people without post unlike KCR family: CM
CM Revanth Reddy urged the people to understand that his brother Tirupati Reddy is working selflessly for their welfare in Kodangal constituency because he, as the CM, was not able to give much time to the constituency.
“Tirupathi Reddy will take care of you without a post,” he said.
“The KCR family is finding fault with my family member for working without a post of minister or MLC or MP. I am not going to compete with the KCR family in giving ministers portfolios, MLC and MP seats to my family members. We don’t want to loot the state as the KCR family did. Our family always helped the people. I spent crores of rupees of my own funds for the development of the constituency, donated my own lands for bus stands and other projects. Upset over the large-scale allocation of Indiramma houses earlier, KCR govt ordered CB-CID probe into it. Your MLA is the CM now and it is a golden opportunity to develop our constituency. Do not get provoked by the opposition when we seek lands, as industries will bring jobs, development, and prosperity. I will ensure Kodangal gets 20,000 Indiramma housing units in the next five years,” Revanth said.
