Hyderabad: This Republic Day, as many as 48 innovators, including housewives, students, and working professionals, were awarded at the ‘Intinta Innovator Village Innovation Awards 2025‘ by the Telangana Innovation Cell (TGIC).
Organised with the support of the panchayat raj and rural development department, the programme was held in 44 villages across 24 districts of Telangana to celebrate the contributions of innovators, who are driving positive change within their communities, within their gram panchayats.
“I created a prototype using which a patient can be taken to the nearest hospital in an ambulance that is best to treat his condition. Further, the ambulance driver will also have access to different switches which will allow him to control traffic signals near the road or junction he is travelling so that he doesn’t get stuck in traffic and can take pictures of vehicles in front and report if they are blocking the way or creating any disturbance,” said Radarapu Srivardhan, a third-year Electronics & Communication Engineering student from Hanumakonda, who is one of the awardees.
Similarly, K Ayyap Reddy, a govt school teacher from Mahabubnagar, created a smart exhaust fan that turns on automatically when smoke or gas is detected. “Along with automatically switching on, there will also be an alarm which will alert people and can prevent people from dying of suffocation when there is smoke,” he added.
TGIC interim CEO Meraj Faheem said that these awards symbolise the commitment of the state where every village becomes a thriving hub of creativity, driving positive change for a better Telangana.
