Kurnool: IIIT-DM Registrar K Gurumurthy announced plans to introduce a joint MSc programme in Medical Physics in collaboration with the State Cancer Hospital, Kurnool. He shared the announcement during the Republic Day celebrations held at IIITDM Kurnool on Sunday.
Retired District Judge Kasibhatla Sivaprasad attended the occasion as the chief guest. Speaking at the event, Registrar Gurumurthy expressed pride in the selection of the institution’s Chairperson, Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Deshmane, for the prestigious Padma Sri award. He emphasized the importance of integrating ethics and morality with technical education, highlighting the critical role of education in empowering women.
Students of IIIT-DM Kurnool showcased their patriotism through a parade organized as part of the celebrations. Outstanding students in education and research were awarded prizes. Dean Dr. M Naresh Babu, Security In-charge Venkateswara Rao, and others participated in the event.
