On way to night prayers, 3 boys die in accident on Hyderabad's Dr Manmohan Singh Expressway

HYDERABAD: Three boys, who were on their way to attend the Jagne ki raat prayers, died in an accident on the newly opened Dr Manmohan Singh Expressway on Tuesday.
The boys, all minors, were riding a bike when it went out of control, hit the median, and crashed into a central lighting pole.
The deceased have been identified as Maaz and Ahmed, both 14 and studying in eighth class, and Imran, 16, a tenth-grade student.
According to the police, the trio left on a bike owned by Maaz’s family at around 12.30 am on Tuesday, informing their family members that they were going to attend the night prayers.
The accident took place near pillar no 53 on the flyover while they were heading towards Aramghar. Passersby alerted the police, who quickly arrived at the scene and launched an investigation. Police are also reviewing CCTV footage for further clues.
A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing, said R. Raghunath, Station House Officer (SHO) of Attapur police station. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination (PME).
