The Japanese automaker is considering the all-new Honda ZR-V SUV for the Indian market. While there are no official words on its launch timeline, this SUV is expected to arrive towards the end of this year or early next year. In Honda’s global product portfolio, the ZRV sits between the HR-V and CR-V and takes on cars like Toyota C-HR, Hyundai Kona, Nissan Qashqai and Mazda CX-5. In India, the Honda ZRV is likely to come as a CBU (completely built unit), which means it will be priced premium.
Honda ZR-V Engine Options:
In the Japanese market, the ZRV is offered with a 2.0L e:HEV hybrid petrol engine paired to an e-CVT gearbox. With the FWD (front-wheel drive), the setup delivers a maximum power of 184bhp. In select global markets, the SUV is available with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine that’s good enough for 178bhp and 182bhp. It comes with the CVT automatic gearbox and two drivetrain options – FWD and AWD. In India, the ZR-V is expected to come with the pure petrol engine.
