Vijayawada: Chief minister Chanrababu Naidu urged officials of every department to work with a ‘people first’ approach. Naidu reviewed reports of various surveys conducted in the last few months on service delivery in various departments.
According to the surveys, pension distribution was at the top of govt services with more than 90% satisfaction rate in the state. Complaints about public transport topped the list with 63 percent followed by medical services at 37 percent.
Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday held a review meeting with officials of Real Time Governance (RTG) and also with the officials of various departments. While appreciating the departments that received positive feedback, Naidu asked the officials of various departments that received negative response to pull up their socks.
Naidu told the officials to consider the feedback from beneficiaries as the final word, emphasizing the importance of beneficiary satisfaction at the field level. Based on surveys conducted on 10 topics, Naidu emphasised the need for speed and quality in service delivery.
In the review meeting with RTG officials, Naidu said that the state govt’s vision is to have one AI expert in every family. He mentioned that AI is being extensively promoted in the state to enable its widespread use in every family. Naidu stressed the need for real-time monitoring of how govt schemes and programmes are reaching people, identifying any shortcomings, understanding why they exist, and finding solutions.
Naidu suggested all govt departments work towards achieving at least 15% growth annually. He told the officials to utilise Google services. Stating that WhatsApp governance services will be launched soon, Naidu told the officials to be careful in implementation without giving any scope for wrongdoers.
RTGS chief executive officer K Dinesh Kumar stated that the process of integrating data from all govt departments is being conducted swiftly. He mentioned that a special profile is being created for each village based on the collected data. Data from various department heads and divisional heads related to 40 govt departments is being collected and integrated.
