With Hyderabad emerging as a fast-growing information technology hub and attracting significant investments from leading global companiestwo IT parks similar to Hitec City are to be developed near Hyderabad to sustain the momentum, Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu said on Tuesday (January 28).
A study is underway to determine optimal locations and extent of land required for the parks. “We are evaluating suitable areas in the city’s outskirts to ensure seamless connectivity and accessibility for employees and investors,” he told the representatives of Dew Software Company which has proposed an investment of ₹100 crore.

Reiterating the State’s commitment to foster IT growth, Mr. Sridhar Babu said the proposed IT parks will feature world-class infrastructure and essential amenities tailored for professionals. The parks will have all necessary facilities, including robust transport systems, ensuring convenient commute from any part of the city, the Minister’s office said in a release on his speech.
Land allocation policy
Considering the challenges industries encounter in acquiring land, the government plans to come with a dedicated land allocation policy. “Currently, there is no specific policy for allocating land to industries, which has caused difficulties for entrepreneurs. The new policy will allocate land based on the scale of investment and the number of jobs created,” he said. “The ₹100 crore investment proposed by Dew Software is a testament to Hyderabad’s growing stature as a preferred IT destination. Dew Software will create job opportunities for 900 professionals over the next five years,” he added.
In another release, Mr. Sridhar Babu’s office said the Minister met representatives of multinational firm Aleria AI. Following a presentation, he expressed interest in the capabilities of Aleria AI technology that promises to enhance State tax revenues and minimise revenue losses.
The representatives said by integrating the offline tool with government departments, it is possible to recover up to 30% of revenue currently being lost. They said Aleria AI can ensure only eligible beneficiaries receive benefits under various schemes thus promoting transparency and efficiency. Aleria AI has authorised IBT Innovations and Innologic Technologies to market its technology in India.
